I don’t think Joel is trying to deflect attention away from abuse that occurs in public schools or Daycare just because he doesn’t have anything (or got nuthin as you say).  I think it is more of his way of covering up a very apparent thought  or reality that abuse in programs occurs far less frequently than they do in other areas where child reside.  This goes against the grain here on fornits so he would like these threads to go away.  Posting unrelated articles is his way of fighting back or trying to cover up the truth.  But overall it works out because any posts (whether related to the threads topic or not) keeps the topic up at the top, so I wouldn't be too hard on him, besides, some of them are pretty funny.
 
Personally I think it is good to look at all the facts whether they are program related or not.
