DayCare Abuse
« on: June 23, 2010, 08:08:55 PM »
A day care owner accused of child abuse and involuntary manslaughter after a 16-month-old boy died from heat exposure last March pleaded guilty and will serve up to 20 months in prison.

Jackson Edmonds was 16 months old when he was found unresponsive in Harper’s car at Palmer Leigh Small World day care in Haw River on March 9, 2009. The baby died of hyperthermia related to heat and sun exposure after he was left in a car at the day care, Alamance County Social Services determined last March. The high temperature that day was 81 degrees.

Wow, Whooter, abuse sure is the "in" thing, these days.  We should stop making such a big deal of the programs, huh?

Here's another idea.. for your next thread..

"Abuse in Mixed Martial Arts Matches"

or

"Abuse in the Spanish Inquisition"

or

"Abuse in Sado-Masochism"

That'll show 'em.

PS  I am thinking we should all go out and abuse somebody tonight.  Everybody's doing it!

Or we could just stick to the topic, there, silly man.. Waddya think?

A 26-year-old man was charged Tuesday for collecting and distributing child pornography in Plymouth, Minnesota.

Shawn Godfrey was charged Tuesday with ten counts of dissemination of pornographic work involving a minor.

According to the criminal complaint (WARNING: Graphic descriptions) , on Godfrey’s computer, there were several videos and pictures involving boys engaging in sexual activities. During the search warrant, Godfrey admitted to police the porn belonged to him, saying they would find "a lot" of it on his computer.
Godfrey initially said the only place they would find child porn was on his computer, but he then remembered he had more in a closet. He brought officers to his room, where he pulled out a large plastic bin with 17 CDs, a floppy disk, a video, children's books, pornographic magazines and cut-outs of young children from magazine ads.
In Godfrey's room, police also found job applications for several daycare facilities and nanny positions. They also found photos of a Boy Scouts troop and a name tag displaying Shawn Godfrey's name and the words "troop leader."
Godfrey had a total of 7,620 photos and 171 videos of child pornography.

When searching Godfrey's computer, investigators found a chat program called, “Google Hello,” where Godfrey admitted to touching a child’s private parts at the daycare he was working at.

Godfrey volunteered at the Hennepin Technical College child daycare facility.

He is currently in the Hennepin County Jail, with bail set at $150,000. The investigation into additional charges and potential sexual abuse is ongoing.

Tuesday afternoon, Plymouth police asked anyone with information of further illegal activity involving Godfrey to call the police department at 763-509-5160.
Police said Godfrey indicated a history of having worked at several daycare facilities in the Twin Cities metro in recent years.
