"WWASP and other totalitarian organizations are just pissing themselves lately because, over the last decade, it's gotten so easy and inexpensive for regular people to find each other and swap info. That really sort of puts a kink in their pipes. They have an absolute need to keep us all from talking together.

You just hit upon a fundamental truth about human society. I like to beleive that I was the first to make this observation: Whenever there is an improvement in man's ability to communicate, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC REVOLUTION FOLLOW."
As a young man I majored in the Russian Language because I had a sneaky scheme to destroy the Soviet Union and get rich doing it. I knew something like the Internet was in the works, and I wanted to help the Soviets get computerized. I figured Marxism-Leninism could never survive the Internet. Unfortunately, Chernoble screwed up my carreer plans. Right now the Internet is playing a major role in political upheavals in Iran. It's gratifying to me to know that my plan might have worked.

Jeff, are you kidding? "Enlighten the people generally and tyranny and oppression of mind and body will vanish like spirits at the dawn of day." --TJ He also said that "Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to choose the latter."
I'm sure you can find similar sentiments in the writings of ancient philosophers.
Ya'll, it takes all kinds. No one has to be the hero and no one person can be. There will not be a pop quiz at the end of this week, month or year so you don't have to figure out who's "good" and who's "bad". As a matter of fact, some of the folks who will do the most to thwart these abusive institutions are those who, right now, are their staunchest and most dedicated supporters today.
Just take your time, study the issues and personalities involved and draw your conclusions when you have enough info, not when someone puts you on the spot and demands alliegance.
Either cocaine and marijuana are terribly dangerous substances, and breaking the law by consuming them is a major offense that should be severely punished, or these are minor, personal matters that do not really count in the big picture of a man's life. If the latter is the case, then the rationale for a bloody, costly and futile war against drugs simply disappears.

So true, thanks Ginger. There are countless "heroes" in this long crusade all of whom can be proud of their efforts to stand up to a goliath sized industry and some downright evil-minded people.
ALL FOR ONE and ONE FOR ALL!!!
