**What you have here is a fulfillment of end time prophecy. This societal change has been foretold, and there is no circumventing it.

I don't believe prophecies are certain destiny, but warnings to be heeded- worse case scenerios- if the status quo remains the same. The Christian right and perhaps others are very vested in the notion that it can't be circumvented. They look forward to the Rapture, therefore, they accept enviornment destruction, unjust wars, etc as signs which don't require any thought or action. Why bother when you believe the Earth is going to hell, all species will perish- and that it's all good.

**Christians are becoming the one class of people it is OK to vilify and hate. This has been foretold.

That is just an extreme exaggeration. Many people and nations have been vilified and hated, many by Christians. I'm sure this will raise some hairs and initiate some defensive comments but, it has to be said. Do you have any clue how many millions of innocent people have been killed by so-called Christians and Jews? Could it be that all the "negative" attention is backlash? Christian America and Jewish Israel have wronged many and created plenty of enemies.

**The New World Order is here. It also was foretold. Nationalism is becoming outdated and is increasingly seen as a destructive form of prejudice and as limiting 'human potential.'
A world wide government and monetary system is on the way. As is, a world wide religion; which comes to us straight from Hell, and is very 'spiritual'.
The decenters will be and are Christians and Jews.

Christians and Jews are the decenters? Who do you think is leading the way to the New World Order? Our Christian and Jewish leaders in Wa. Do you believe Bush and Cheney are imposters- not followers and defenders of their respective religions? That seems to be the only way your comment would make sense. Further, if Bush, Falwell and Robertson don't speak for the "true" Christians, then what do those Christians propose to do about it?

This link should give you something to think about, and addresses all these issues. Please read it before responding:

There is no seperation of Church and State. That there ever was is an illusion. We've always had laws and policies based on the laws in the bible. Why do we have sodomy laws? Whether a "lifestyle choice" or genetic predisposition, the government has no right punishing two consenting adults for whatever they choose to do.
An interesting article on the topic:

It is the fundamental extremism that I feel is bringing about the negativity toward, not just fundamentalist Christians, but the fundamentalists in all religions whether Christian, Jewish, Muslim- they all have their rabid radicals- who are not just content to live their life according to their religion, but feel compelled to force it on everyone else and control the world.

When the day is done, the pursuit of money and power will override anyone's religious beliefs and values, or they will use their religion to justify their greed and violence. It's all in the interpretation.
The belief in a sadistic and vengeful god is definitely a contributing factor in why we have behavior modification facilities and why abuse is disguised as therapy.

When the Rapture comes, they grouse, the holy alliance between Christians and Jews will suddenly become unholy, with Christians levitating and Jews left behind to deal with the Antichrist, plagues, sores, boils, frogs, the endless syndication of "Everybody Loves Raymond" and locusts from the "bottomless pit," each with a human face, horse's body, scorpion's tail and a sting that torments for five months.

"This is a grim comedy of mutual condescension," says Leon Wieseltier, the Jewish scholar and literary editor of The New Republic. "The evangelical Christians condescend to the Jews by offering their support before they convert or kill them. And the conservative Jews condescend to Christians by accepting their support while believing that their eschatology is nonsense. This is a fine example of the political exploitation of religion."

**But it's a losing battle and, at the bottom of it, who really needs school anyway? Basic litteracy is extremely easy to learn for most people. Once you have that down, you can use that to learn anything you want to know.

Good question. I like these two articles on the subject.

John Taylor Gatto is a former New York State and New York City Teacher of the Year and the author, most recently, of The Underground History of American Education. He was a participant in the Harper's Magazine forum "School on a Hill," which appeared in the September 2001 issue.

A positive proposal for an educational alternative to high schools as currently organized.

**Did you know that both Peer Counseling and DARE are defined as psychological programs, not curriculum? Both are developed by people closely affiliated with Straight, Inc. (former exec director, Bill Oliver and cofounder, Betty Sembler)

Peer Counseling? Do you have any links to this?

Yes, but these were also the times our grandparents lived in and their grandparents before them, etc. Tacitus wrote on this same theme. All the old philosophers did. And almost all religions have a similar prophesey about a chaotic and strife-filled future.

Really, it just stands to reason. People just seem to keep getting better and better at accomplishing whatever we set out to do, whether it's growing food, building machines or whatever. Then, when we've dominated another bit of nature, the first thing we realize is why maybe it wasn't such a wonderful idea to mess with it.

And then we have a dark ages. It's happened before. Someone built those wonderful pyramids, highways and water routes throughout So. America. And, by some accounts, someone other than the Egyptians built the ones in the mideast. There ain't nothing new under the Sun. Wasn't it Solomon who said that?

I can't seem to find any "smoking gun" document right now. But I had paper work from the Broward County Peer Counseling program when my daughter took it and it had a P.R.I.D.E. copyright (Bill Olivers Parent group) Back then, I had no clue that the "Safe and Drug Free Schools/workplace/communities" programs were all part of an organization formerly known as Straight, Inc.

Here's a collection of links that hints, or if you dig deep enough, actually states outright the SDF programs and their connection to DFAF.

Here's the corporate entity record for DFAF, showing two name changes back to Straight.

Just punch in drug free america and take a look at the record for drug free america foundation.

**Secondary program in which high school students meet monthly with elementary students in grades 3-6 during January through April to discuss and share experiences in dealing with self-esteem issues as well as classroom learning objectives. Program has received regional recognition.

A 7-week interactive, experiential series utilizing group discussions, role playing and peer counseling through which participants address issues including family relationships, effective communication, anger management, substance abuse and other high-risk behaviors, personal goal setting, self-discipline, peer pressure, refusal skills and values clarification.

I wouldn't call these definitions "peer counseling", but rather, reverse peer pressure or peer lectures or peer training.
