at that point in time at HLA, i would not be surprised. A bunch of staff were concerned about the kids bucci was bringing in around that time. it all started around 2004....that's when they started bringing all the crazies. there was a sudden shift in demographics around that time. HLA went from kids who had trouble with drugs, sex, cutting, eating, etc....to kids who were either seriously deranged or completely normal with minor difficulties growing up. I remember this one kid...chris la***an, he was a complete reverse peadophile. He would seek out (pre-program) sexual encounters with random old men at truck stops and whatnot. when he got into the program, he somehow managed to convince a number of seemingly straight guys to have sex with him. or another kid...i forgot his name.....from canada....he was completely deranged, and believed in witchcraft and whatnot. not a healthy and intelligent interest in the occult - he was someone who would kill and rape a ten year old if some old book said it would give him some sort of power. He'd write "all work and no play makes johnny a dull boy" over and over and over on all of his restriction assignments, journals, and homework. that, cartoons of him doing some seriously sick shit to various staff. and then there was that time he decided to "go for a walk", and just somehow wandered off campus without anyone noticing. so he walked off into the georgia wilderness with just the clothes on his back. The whole campus went on lockdown, and it sent all the staff into a frenzy. He just walked around, and eventually stumbled on the ranger camp and claimed he was a lost hiker. He then managed to make friends with the rangers, got some water and MRE's from them, and sat around for a bit playing cards. then mark keith walks by and was like "what the fuck is this HLA kid doing on this base?!"....when he came back it was as if he just spent the day in the park. he didnt seem to notice that the entire campus was spun into a frenzy over his disappearance, or that he could have easily died from dehydration/starvation/bears/crazy hillbilies/hypothermia/etc. most kids spend weeks preparing to run away (at least the serious ones; the ones that just want attention just walk down the road). they hoard food, prepare makeshift backpacks, plan their routs, steal maps.......this kid just walked off on a whim.


these new new kids at from the justice system...there going to be a thousand times worse. bucci will be overwhelmed. he doesnt know how to deal with crackheads and psychopaths, just spoiled brats.

Amen to ^that^.  You hit it dead on the head.  He's going to be in deep shit very soon.  I've dealt with the worst of the worst from Juvie and Lenny and his little crew of would-be-child-jailers are in for big trouble.  I can smell the lawsuits already and he hasn't even opened the doors yet.

I can't wait until the crap hits the fan when the fine folks in Dahlonega figure out what ol' Bucci's up to now. What until one of those kids gets loose and rapes/robs/murders a visitor to Dahlonega. That will be great for tourism.
