Yes, I think that Danny voyeuristically just enjoys kicking the "ant-hill" to watch whatever "ants" he can rouse, leap about in consternation.  And while I have very little sympathy for him, I also believe that the association with him here actually seriously impairs both Elan and AA's public image; Danny, of course, imagines that we are "harrassing" him for his beliefs.  Hence, in some senses I welcome his involvement, as he makes these programs look bad for us.
