Someone, I think it was SPOTS had written a note about the staff "loving" the students and what that meant a couple of weeks ago. Looks like that question is answered in this edition.

Upper levels are required to write a happy story for the Source as part of their graduation process.
We are so over that facade .It smells bad.

Hey, I graduated and no one ever told me that I needed to write a story for the Source, in fact, I only remember once that a staff asked if anyone wanted to write about anything, kinda in the middle of my stay there. I think someone did. If that were the case, smartass, there would be hundreds of happy stories and the magazine would turn into a book. I'm so over your fascade...hey are you from that PURE place??? Sounds like it.

In some WWASPS schools, I believe it is policy to require a "happy story" for The Source as a graduation requirement. As for the tons of happy stories making this magazine a book, just as with all magazines, a great amount of material is submitted. It is the job of the editorial staff to sift through and print those items which best suit the needs and "flavor" of the magazine. This often represents only 1% of submissions, which would be a logical explanation as to why there is only a reasonable amount of graduate stories appearing.
It reflects poorly on your WWASPS experience to challenge a statement with "smart-ass" and the ever-present If-I-Can't-Think-of-Anything-Else statement about PURE. Dear "graduate", if you don't even know what the PURE thing is about, perhaps you should refrain from making yourself look like a "smart ass".
