Dr. Jim Pender has a Ph.D. in Educational Research and holds certificates in International Certified Clinical Addictions Counsellor (ICCAC), International Certified Alcohol & Drug Counsellor (ICADC) and Substance Abuse Professional (SAP):

“The use of Peer Counsellors makes AARC uniquely effective. They provide clients with someone in their age group to talk to, someone who has walked in their shoes. They serve as great role models and convey a powerful message of strength and hope for clients in treatment.”
