Thanks Bill
« on: July 09, 2009, 05:49:42 PM »
The Sun has continued to do it's bit selling AARC.  In spite of the complete lack of evidence for this claim, Brooks makes sure to use AARC's fabricated sucess rate.  How it has deteriorated from 85% to 80% is anyone's guess.  Interesting that Health Minister Ron Leipert showed up.  This may explain Health and Wellness's adamant refusal to address any questions related to AARC.  Complicity of Alberta Government officials from Diane Mirosh through Ron Stevens, and now on to Leipert, is an indication of the pervasive corruption that keeps AARC alive.  It may help explain what happens to the millions of dollars that disappear each year into the AARC black hole.

Well, there's a list of people at the bottom that could receive some letters of disapproval. I'm not sure about how much good that would do but it might be worth a shot.

Journalistic integrity out the window - not a mention of AARC's controversial exposure on CBC. Wow.

Ron Leipert, Minister of Health and Wellness, is the man in the greatest conflict of interest. He was confronted in the Legislature and asked to explain why the government was funding AARC, and about the abuses at AARC brought up on the Fifth Estate.  Leipert made some bizarre challenge to his questioner, and later claimed that Dean Vause had asked the police to investigate any wrongdoing at AARC.  What Vause did was contact the Major Crimes unit, telling the police that the girls were liars, in an effort to prevent the stories from being taken seriously by police.  This was acknowledged by a detective with CPS.  So Leipert left the investigation of AARC up to Dean Vause.  Rather than Leipert's ministry looking into how a purported drug treatment centre, with no operating license, run by a man with no professional license or credentials, staffed by people with no licenses and that has been alleged on national television to use a number of dangerous, unmonitored and unregulated practises to control it's clients, continues to operate within the Province, Leipert instead attends the AARC begathon as a guest.

Welcome to Alberta.

The reason you get so upset when you think something is fabricated, Ajax, is because you do it yourself so much.  Here take a look:
The success rate of AARC hasn’t deteriorated from 85% to 80%.  You just like to misrepresent the facts.. the article stated that “more than 80% of the graduates are substance free..”. This statement is accurate.  When someone else does this you cry foul.

Thanks for the link.  I cant believe that they had almost 890 guests this year with more than $1,000,000 in that night alone. Dr. Dean Vause knows how to throw a party.

I stand corrected.  While there is no evidence to support the claimed figure of more than 80%, I have no doubt that all 890 or so guests are entirely free of substance.  Thanks for the free psychoanalysis, but what gets me upset is the fact that AARC is a fraudulent entity that has funnelled millions of dollars into the hands of Dean Vause and his accomplices under the false guise of providing drug treatment.  In the course of this rip-off, he has done untold harm to hundreds of people whom he and his amateur staff falsely diagnosed as drug addicts, and then subjected to a harmful pseudoscientific behavior modification process.  It's called crime, and most folks don't really like it.  Hopefully that clears up your confusion about why I'm upset, and thus calms your worries about me.

890 guests and they raked in over $1,000,000 - They sure know who to invite!

Now, where does the money go? The clients are housed in each other's houses, staff aren't a lot.

Utilities can't cost that much.
