A little update on the case:

The courts threw the case out based on the statutes of limitation. She got a total of three years in the justice system in two countries before they gave up and sent her back to Denmark. At a point she was even close to going to Gitmo because she was a illegal immigrant because the U.S. Marshall didn't secure a visa when they dragged her to the United States.

Now she is back in Denmark without money because she paid for a high profile lawyer.

She cannot be compensated for the time served because the Danes blame the DEA and the DEA is saying that the Danes were fools to believe them.

Don't leave your own country. You might be victim of conspiracy.

It is has been revealed that the two countries had a number of meetings back in 2007 deciding what to charge her fore. Once they had an agreement, the smugglers in her case was released in exchange for a written testimony backing the charges up.

It seems that her case was non-existing from the very start. She was just hit by bad luck.
