Living Dead Girl
« on: June 27, 2009, 06:33:55 PM »
I was thinking I would blog my progress on this project, and what better place than fornits right?... we love zombies... duh.

So this is one piece in a series, and I have plans to create a line of clothing and accessories including hats, jewelry and hand bags.

Let me know what you guys think! I can always use suggestions.

Excellent. The implants are evocative (if not indicative) of a certain level of zombification.
She’s got a spark of attitude, though. Aren’t zombies known for having more of a flat affect?

What do I know? My best references are having read The Zen of Zombies and having been in residential and inpatient. There is a book titled Living Dead Girl, by Elizabeth Scott. It was a heart breaking detour from her debut publication of Crank.

Okay, scratch that, I cant seem to find any of my inking pens, so I'll have to move onto the next piece so I can skip that step.

Thought this might be more appropriate anyway being as it will be called "Fem Fatal" or "Miss Murder" (haven't decided yet) and most likely end up as my Fornits Avatar.

SO I need your advice, I'm thinking of crossing a gun and a bloody knife in front of her (as is the style I'm going for with these pieces) but I cant decide if I want to do an old school revolver or a desert eagle.....?? I figure the revolver would fit better being as this is supposed to be reminiscent of a tattoo, and most people get revolvers for tattoos, but I truly LOVE the desert eagle, I even own one myself. SO as you might be able to guess this is a tough choice for me.... Please HELP!

I used one of my own photos as reference.... Not bad for a self portrait is it? lol.

I'm also not sure if I want to vector this as an outlined image or just flat color. See style reference below, let me know which you choose.

Maybe it's just hip to waist ratio, but I like the current avatar.

If your love for your firearm comes through then all the better.

That’s hot. I would at the very least wear her to bed.
Though I must add; seriously what’s with the anatomical improbability that is likely breast augmentation?
Not to spin off topic, but breast implants are prosthesis and are about as sexy as a peg leg.IMHO
(Those of you that like them encapsulated and scarred are free to disagree and disregard MHO)

Well I think the point is that they are cartoons, and generally pretend women are abnormally well endowed.

It actually have more to do with my intended market, the kinds of girls that will choose to buy these are those who are obsessed with the unattainable version of beauty that these drawings represent...

HOWEVER... I wasn't intending on them looking like implants, just big boobs in general.
I don't have any problem with fake boobs, don't think id get them myself, but I don't look down on anyone for having them, or people who do like them. to each their own I guess.

S'ok, Femanon; I think people have a tendency to get morally obsessed here.

The drawings look great, keep up the good work!

Just to reiterate, the underlined portion.
