Does anyone really care WHY these schools have been closing?  Hasn't our "mission" so to speak, been to close down these schools by any means necessary (legally)?  The POINT is that they ARE closing and enrollment has dropped.  Looks like good news to me...regardless of the how/why they closed.

Personally, i think it is a combination of the economy AND all the BAD PRESS - not to mention the collective movement and participation of survivors on these forums, Antiwwasp, and other such sites.  I choose to believe that the voices of the unheard are now being HEARD - for whatever reason!!!

As Femanon said..."put that in your pipe and smoke it"

Who cares if the TTI site went live or didn't???  The mission of TTI is the same thing we ALL WANT - to see this industry blown off the face of the Earth.  Just the mere fact of knowing that NO parent can no longer send their kid to TB makes me sleep a while lot better at night!

So many of you defiantly don't think these programs or schools are any good.  Are any of you all still mooching off your parents with the excuse they didn't raise you well?  Do you know what can a failed parent can do to help an unmotivated young adult get on with making an independent life for them self?  How did your parents stop paying for your mistakes and stop feeling responsible if you became a burden to society?  I see that there is a mistake in sending anyone away to a place that treats them as a cash cow. So how have some of you become able to take responsibility for your life? I just want to point the person I know in the right direction and be helpful.  This forum was helpful in showing me that there is to great a chance of damage done by these schools to consider sending someone there.

Some might be.  Some aren't.  I'm not sure a census has been conducted on the matter.

I don't think there is a one-size fits all solution to that.  It depends on the situation.

It depends on what you mean by "take responsibility for your life".  Different schools of thought have different definitions of "responsibility".  Responsibility can mean taking responsible for one's own actions, or responsibility can mean taking blame for everything that happens in one's life (i.e.... if somebody shoots you..  take responsibility for that.).

There are various at-home solutions, but it would be helpful to have a greater understanding of precisely what the issue is.
