On Jeanne Shockley:
"In September 2001, we were in crisis with our 13 year old daughter and found we no longer knew how to deal with her issue’s and placed her in a therapeutic facility for 22 months. During that time I was able to work on family issues and working toward transition of our daughter back into our home.
I learned about the C.S. Landre Foundation during this time and participated in fundraising events to benefit the great cause which is advocated through the foundation.
I began working for the foundation in January 2004 in Operations and enjoy working with families who are in crisis, supporting them, educating them and creating an atmosphere of awareness. The work I do at the foundation is rewarding and humbling at the same time because I have walked in the shoes of many parents who call our office."

Yeah, I also found the same pic (as your link) on Plaxo, save my find was much grainier and out of focus... Also found something on her regular profession, which is construction, believe it or not. This first blurb below is her bio from yet another organization connected to C.S. Landre Foundation; it appears to be their fundraising arm: http://www.brighterlv.org. From their "our committee" page:
Jeanne Shockley – President/CEO of Star of Life Foundation, Inc

My passion in life is to provide educational services to families and teens in crisis, and bring awareness to communities across the United States on the seriousness of the crisis our children, teens and young adults are facing. Chrissakes, it's like a Hyde HAPA cult... These parents have all been sucked into WWASP's self-perpetuating scheme in the name of "giving back." Note the lingo. They have all been duly seminared into happy camper group think.

My son invited me to the program on November 25, 2005; to our delight he graduated the program on April 25, 2007.
I am married and have a wonderful and loving husband, Tom, two beautiful step-daughters, Kathleen and Christine and a very handsome son, Jesse.
I have always loved children, which drew me to the C.S. Landre Foundation - anything I can do to improve a child's life is worth my time and effort. It is a pleasure to be in service to this very important cause of raising funds to assist children and families at risk.

Hello, My name is Phil Bowers. My wife and I are the Chicago Regional Directors. We got involved with the Landre Foundation in January 2001. We staffed a seminar in Chicago and noticed there was not a Foundation table, so we called Lance and told him that there needed to be representation in the Chicago region. He then made us the Directors!
We started our journey in January of 2000 when we sent our daughter to a behavioral modification program. Doing the seminars has helped a lot in my personal growth. We have staffed around 14 seminars. Working with the Foundation has really enhanced my life.
Thank you,
Phil Bowers

My name is Debbie Wood. I am a courageous, powerful and joyful woman whose purpose is to love unconditionally and touch the lives of others. What better way to live my purpose than to work for the C.S. Landre Foundation?
Our youngest son, Sam, was escorted to a behavioral modification boarding school on April 2, 2002. He completed his program in December, 2003, and three weeks later, I began working at the same school as a Family Representative of lower level boys.
We have completed all seminars that were offered to me, and we have staffed both Adult and Student seminars. In addition, I have also staffed several parent/child seminars.
I started and help administrate an on-line parents’ support message board which helps fill in some of the gaps that were offered by other sources. It now has over 200 active members. I left my position at the program school in July 2007 and moved back to California in December, 2006. We are enjoying being nearer our adult sons and my parents. I also work as a digital artist and web page designer. We now reside in Chico, California.[/list]

Wow... these are people are in DEEP. All those "I am" statements. Ew.
This is disgusting, disturbing, and extremely sad. These people were once normal, thinking individuals.
Gilcrease must be proud.

Why would WWASP be suggesting donation to a 501(c)3 entity? I wonder if what they're doing is legal, considering they're basically using this front 501 to funnel money into a for profit company. Anybody a tax attorney here? I wonder if the IRS would be interested in this stuff.

These multiple intermeshed layers -- some for-profit and some non-profit -- should be recognized as a red flag for potentially unscrupulous business dealings. Look at HLA.
