I began the class action against cinci straight

I was rather amazed when I put my name in google and found out that part of my life is in a book. It is good to know this site exists. I have since gotten a Masters in Criminal Justice with a focus in Addictions. One hope that I have had with this is to be a watchdog for other programs like straight and making certain that it does not happen again. Anyway I would be interested in hearing from anyone .My email is [email protected]

Dave - you should look into filing a claims bill against the State of Ohio.  In Florida, the state knew what was going on for years and did nothing to stop the abuse.  We are working w/our legislators to get a claims bill rolling here in the sunshine state.

Wouldn't there be a statue of limitations on what happened at Straight?
It's been 12 years for me in Michigan, and I don't know if I can still go forward  with filing a claim against Straight with my memories just starting to surface as to what went on there.

Yes, in most states there is a statutue of limitations - 7 years in most cases.  There is no limitations for claims bills.  In Florida, a claims bill was filed a couple of years  ago on action (or inaction) taken by the State of Florida in the 1920's.  I would check it out in your state.

I was in Kids Helping Kids from 1989-1991.
I would like more information if any of you have any information on what attorney to contact to file suit against them and the state of Ohio for the abuse I suffered in there and also had to witness on a daily basis. I was there when it was in Hebron, Kentucky. Now it is in milford, Ohio.
I have been in touch with Isac also about this matter. I just want to know if there is an attorney out there that will take on the case.

Linchpin,
Kids helping Kids is Straight Inc.. They just changed their name. see documents at the isac website for proof. The document shows that Straight Inc. applied for their business license in 1980 in Florence, KY. The only treatment facilities in Northern Ky at that time were the short term 30 day hospital treatment centers and Kids Helping Kids in Hebron, Ky. The only reason they applied and were granted their business License in Florence, Ky is b/c at that time that is where the office was to apply for it at.
Kids Helping Kids=Straight Inc.

Also,

Wes Fager works for his own interests. Remember the old "We are accepting donations in order to think about whether or not we should find out if there are grounds to file a suit against Straight" ?

What a hoot that was. Probably made negative donations from that one.

Any documents you read here should always be read with caution, if you want the full and real truth ...do your own research, the people here are scarred. Become a cop or something else if you want the real truth about Straight, it is not unabridged and the entire truth here.

ummmm Anon,
I never mentioned anything about Wes Fager ok? I was talking about a court document from the ISAC website. I know it is legitimate i used to live in Northern Kentucky not only when I was in the program but also afterwards I recognize the courts officials names and signature. Now ye have your facts "straight" b/c of me....your welcome.
