When I was on the BBS, a BMW was a Bitchen', Moanin', whiner.
Any group of people suggesting negative thoughts about, or suggesting negative actions by the program, were also Chattering Pigs.
This is a common Cult tactic used to keep members in line. We are the enlightened ones - They are the - fill in the blank - but it is always derogatory and unpleasant - something no one wants to be. So, not wanting to be labeled a BMW or a Chattering Pig - you avoid speaking out or expressing anything negative about the Cult/Program.
Its human nature to want to belong to a group. Many people today feel disconnected and detached - and alone. This makes them prime targets for cult recruitment.
The program takes advantage of the same psychology, and uses it in exactly the same way to keep the parents in line.
And yes, Jesus and John had their troubles. Not from bucking authority; But Rather from speaking with authority. Men are often displeased with what God has to say, and often react very badly.
And even so, you are forgetting the victory that followed the defeat.
