What happened to the emotocons ??

Definitely! Even with the way the emoticons are now, a 'more' option (that opens a smaller window containing the majority of them) is preferable to having to wait for them to load -and- scroll so far down to get to the Submit button.

I wish I could do that. The old, old, old forum was a version of PhpBB v 1.0 that I had hacked up over a couple of years. The new version is about 100x more complicated in structure and I'm way rusty at hacking php. I wish I could have stuck with the old version and kept on hacking in new features. But I couldn't deal with the spam. So we get what we get. Sorry.
