Sometimes tact pays off.. I agree to some extent that people of all sorts take way to long a ride on the pity party train. Yet rather than be the one to comment on it I've learned to just shut the hell up. Makes for less of a head ache. Furthermore, I also remember back when I was having my own bucket of tears festival. Tactless comments didn't help much or inspire me...

Just some food for thought for you.. maybe you ought consider letting people figure it out on their own. Not everyone walks the same road you do and it takes longer for others to sort out their feelings.

I was molested from the age of 7 until I was 11 by a much older cousin.  I was raped when I was 15.  My stepfather tried to fuck me I don't know how many times.  Teachers, counselors, police....you name it.    Sexuality is a powerful thing and a young, vulnerable girl at the mercies of untrained, unqualified "hot" staff is a prime target.  They know the girls are excited by the attention.   Especially in a situation like a program.  They know the kind of power they wield over the kids, they know how starved for attention and affection these girls are and they USE it.

A child cannot consent to sex with an adult.  A patient cannot consent to sex with their therapist.  Why is this so difficult a concept to grasp?  I don't get it??

No, we're tying to stop it from happening, help those who were abused, and punish those who abuse others.

And for that matter, who are YOU, still clinging to your program now, to tell anyone else that they are letting their experiences effect their lives too much? You show us nothing,  if you think the schools are ineffective produce some evidence, some data that suggests 20,000 kids a year suffer in these places.  Don’t just give me a link to some kid who had a bad experience, I am looking for long term clinical studies that show these schools are ineffective.  If there were 20,000 kids a year suffering from these schools, one would think more than 1 or 2 would have raised their hand and said something or went to the police.  The majority of these kids move on to some of the top universities in the country..... you spin off and go nuts and start posting porn because a couple of people push your buttons and you dont have the education or grammar to defend your position thru dialog yet in the same breath boast of a 146 I.Q..  (what’s up with that, anyway?)
