Donating via Pay Pal
« on: September 17, 2007, 04:34:02 AM »
I tried to donate earlier and pay pal is requesting my routing number off a cheque and all that. What is the deal with this? I haven't used a cheque in years, and it is a bit surprising as every other time I've used pay pal I've been able to use a debit card.

The first time I tried to use pay pal to donate to fornits I got a bit confused and didn't realize that 1 unit equals 1 dollar.

So here I am still wanting to donate to fornits and a bit unsure about how to go about it.

Can you get this sorted out and possiblely make it so pay pal will take a debit card for fornits?

Does it ask if you are paying with a debt card or check card?

Question: Did you donate money before or after you received moderator admin powers? Did you donate money before having all your posts deleted? I am just trying to figure out how things work around here.

Ginger gives mod status to anyone who donates a hundred dollars, and admin status to anyone who donates a thousand.

No, really. Go on and try it!

Re: Paypal, I don't know what to say. I have no control on my end what kind of payments paypal will accept. I really should get my arse in gear and update the support pages, though.

Waygookin - you should be able to go into your pay pal account and set how you want to make or receive paypal funds. For example, you can designate a credit card or bank account to be your primary source of payment - with another one for back up. But it is up top you to set this up to suit yourself.
