Yes! Perfect I think that is a great idea. Less Camerawork and more effective to the veiwer. The main thing would be to make sure the idea of so many people screaming at you in such a closed trapped space is imparted to the veiwer. I have never even thought about doing any of this shit. I think it is about time, and lets use people like Face over here who are PTSD free :grin:

I've given this "idea" some thought; here they are (don't take offense, cause I believe that you're really trying to help).

There is no fucking way I would subject anyone to the torment I endured in Straight.
I could not control my response to being spit upon or restrained. We're not kids anymore or pawns in some brutal exercise exhibiting what most people could NEVER contemplate.

Maybe you could hire actors, with actual clients advising how hard to strike, spit and cry? But,you will never be able to replicate the fear and desperation that many of us endured. To do so I consider exploitative and ill conceived. What do you want? 11 year old twins carving their bodies with sporks? Ya want video? Go to Kids Helping Kids in Cincinnati(old Straight facility) and infiltrate as a prospective parent of a "druggie". Ask to meet kids, then clandestinly attend an open meeting with a stealth digicam.

Finally, you will never be able to reproduce the 1000yrd stare of hopeless abandon that the "phasers" endured. Closest simulation I've found is war and a tune by Blue Oyster Cult "Veteran of the Psychic Wars".  Jason

Jason, completely true and yes very awful but the fact is I could never even imagine what it was like in say Vietnam or a concentration camp with out movies. SAD TO SAY but true. Simple but it took $$$ hungry producers ect.... to enlighten me to what it was really like to be there and feel the terror. Yes!! don't spit on me but there are, like you said, actors or others, friends, family ect.... that are willing to subject themselves to "it". I am not one but if it will get the message out then do it. There are the blissful ignorants who may be swayed by this video presentation. Anything is worth saving another pair of 11 year old twins from carving in their arms with a spork. I feel you! I was there on the floor too!
