Block user feature?

I hear ya....At least they got rid of all those letters you had to copy over after pressing the "I am human" button. Jesus christ it takes me over 20 minutes to type all of those in...and then if you miss one dam capital letter etc. you have to do it all over again.....really cut into my guest posting.

perhaps that was the point?!

I suspect that's called 'don't read those posts'! ::seg::

Ah yes, that is the usual method of avoidance. But you can't always tell its a post you'd rather avoid until after you've read it - then its to late.
But my primary concern has been with the posting of images. When really gross or offensive photos or illustrations are posted on a thread, with no warning at all that they are in there, there is no way to avoid seeing the things until it is already done. You can avoid going back to that thread - but there is no telling where this stuff will pop up next.
I really do try not to be to much of a prude (or to obviously a mom) but I have been really grossed out and offended. I'd like to avoid this. I'd rather not have to abandon the forum to do so. I thought it might solve the problem if a person could, as an individual, opt out of viewing the posts of those who publish these images. That way, no one would scream censorship in Ginger's face - and folks like myself would still feel the forum was tolerable.

I have to say that ordinarily I am not offended by much. I just skip over the images I don't care to look at too closely. But this is seriously affecting my ability to spend my copious amount of time at work on fornits as I usually like to do. Every now and then my boss does pop up just behind my shoulder, y'know.
Would it be possible to implement something like spoiler tags on images, maybe?

DITTO.
We both have asked that question, and apparently the answer is No. I thought I was being dense about it, actually! Thanks for speaking my mind for me ::peace::
I suspect there's nothing more than extreme caution when opening anything; don't open anything unless you're alone (and definately not when your @ work.)?
The second one works for me since I'm mostly alone

Oh fur sure don't open anything. I have known that for some time now. I never open a link on any forum unless I know what it is going to be - sometimes waiting to see what others say about it first. But this is of no use when people post the images directly in a post - its like "ooops - there it is" And you can't judge by the thread title either - b/c all can be equally derailed with this stuff.
It just seems like there has got to be some kind of solution that all can live with.
