It refers to the statistics of The American Academy of Pediatrics, which points out that 36.9 percent of 14-year olds have had sex, that is, more than one out of three, and 66.4 percent of 12th graders have had sex! Along with this there are about 3 million cases of sexually transmitted diseases and about one million pregnancies. These youngsters are encouraged by school programs that distribute birth-control devices, and the result is that only one out of five teenagers will remain chaste during these early years. Also, there are about nine million couples living together intimately without being married and the number of these couples has increased 72 percent in the last decade. As far as homosexuality is concerned, studies indicate that more than three million people are involved in these liaisons, and a poll taken in 1995 indicated that 90 percent of the nation believes that society should value “all types of families,â€
