10 Students need to come off the CALO list
« on: June 22, 2009, 04:01:32 AM »
One of the insiders has told me that roughly 10 of the names of the list need to come down. What I need from you Well Proxied is directions they can follow for getting their names off the list.

If you can get me those directions I'll try my best to pass them along.

Don't get your hopes up either, something like 8 or so graduated, however, according to your terms once they are out of CALO they can get their name taken off you "list".

Now how do they go about doing it?

If I had known the lot of you would whine quite this bloody much over a few identities and absolutely refuse to edit your own forum.....

Very well, Psy, you can edit my post for accuracy, making it the only post on this forum edited in that way. And Che, you can PM him or fellate him or whatever it is you do to give him the updated list. And if the so-called treatment plan refers to a so-called student no longer there, go on, remove that too. Is Tom gone for good?  I suspect he'll lead a revolt if he's dragged back so I imagine he is.

This works out rather well, if you wish for your child's name to be removed from the list, remove him from CALO.

Che, I do expect you to post the names of the new arrivals though if there are any. If there aren't any then I believe this approach has been proven and I expect at least some of you to at least attempt to follow in my footsteps.

Of course the full list has been quoted and requoted many times so are you going to edit those, too, or whine to anonymous nobodies? I strongly suspect the full list will be reposted the moment you update it.

None of them were pulled due to your little stunt. Each of them graduated, each of them will no doubt be replaced, and the whole cycle starts over.

And no.. I want no part of what you are selling.

Take them down yourself.  For legal reasons, i'm not editing your posts even at request with a 100 foot pole.  You registered an account, you remove Tom's Pdf.

Actually, at this point, we're not even sure editing of your posts in normal Fornits fashion would be possible as it might construe tampering with evidence, as it's reasonable to believe some legal action will be taken against you.  I'll have to consult with ginger on this later today.

Not everyone is whining. A lot og us are happy about what you did. But. If you edit his post...his post has been duplicated so many times...I guess you will edit everyone's post?

God, i wish we'd be more supportive of this guy. Anyway, like you said, anyone can try to sue, but that doesn't mean you can win. Also, isn't announcing this guy registered an account messing with his anonymity?

Nah, he registered an account called "wellproxieduploads" because *checks* you can't upload files unless you're logged in. I'll give good odds he's not coming back for it. (I'll give equal odds the same Well Proxied ownaj lord who posted the original lists hasn't been here for weeks and this is his surrogate or subordinate or something.)

Just the fact that the list is still up after two and a half weeks is a pretty good indication that it won't be taken down any time soon. The usual order of things, at least in copyright infringement land, is sue-for-takedown with a side order of IP addresses. Same for criminal cases, in which the administrator is asked to save the IP addresses for the FBI and delete it from the public view. (Seriously, if it was really illegal like pictures of child porn, you think the FBI just leaves kiddie porn up?) I like how he wants you to be his doorman by editing his posts though. :D (Might as well do it, Psy, you're apparently not good for too much else.)

Why?  it's obvious he doesn't care about the kids...  I'll tell you right now that list wasn't posted for altruistic reasons of any sort.

He did so publicly.  The account is on the same thread called "wellproxieduploads".  I'm not sure if the IP is the same (haven't checked), but it's reasonable to assume it's the same person.

who was released? under what conditions and rationales did this occur (other than the "graduations")?
