I got a phone call on Tuesday from Tom with Naymz.  He told me he received a complaint about my Nayme Profile.  He asked that I remove all content in regard to Sue Scheff, her company, Isabella Zehnder and Reputation Defender.  

I thought I would share a couple of the emails that we exchanged after our phone conversation.  Tom was very nice and I could tell he didn't want to become the victim of a law suit.

We established Naymz to be a tool to help individuals build and promote positive and accurate identities for themselves online. We encourage our users to include information about their professional backgrounds, credentials, skills, and likes. Unfortunately our platform is also occasionally used for malicious purposes such as defamation of character and misrepresentation. It’s the nature of the online identity beast we are trying to figure out and improve upon.

 

We understand your concern with the content about you and the lawsuit against you on Sue Scheff’s profile. We are giving her 48 hours to remove any content or links associated with your name or litigation that has occurred between any of the associated parties. If she does not comply, we will permanently delete her profile and block anybody who attempts to create a profile using her name moving forward. We would need to ask that you comply in the same manner. There are mentions and links of Mrs. Scheff as well as the lawsuit within your latest Naymz profile. We ask that you remove all mentions and links of Sue Scheff and the lawsuit within 48 hours. If this does not happen, we will be forced to remove your profile and permanently block your name from our site. Please review our Terms of Use you agreed to when signing up with Naymz for more details on our positioning of defamation and liability as a business.

 

We sympathize with the troubles you have gone through fighting for what you feel is right. We wish you luck in getting this unfortunate situation straightened out.

Just please be sure she does the same thing.  

I do want to note that it is a shame that she has been allowed for at least the last 6 months or so to use your site, her naymz page, as she has without any problems until now.  That part I find to be a little upsetting.  I wish you guys had policed her profile from the beginning instead of waiting until now, when I have tried to shed light on the truth.

However, I understand.  I guess this is part of what she pays reputation defender to do.   It is a form of censorship that they are practicing.

Then he sent me one more email asking me to remove the tags at the bottom of my page.  I would post it but I can't figure out how to. It contains a print screen of my naymz page with Sue's, Izzy's, Reputation Defenders names circled in red.

Speaking of which... I just noticed fatass removed her Naymz profile picture (probably to avoid further photoshopping)... don't worry Izzy.  I have a backup and I'm taking my hard drives (one drive of the raid mirror is going in a safety deposit box, the other is going to France with me), just in case there is some unfortunate break in... Heaven knows you and Sue would NEVER consider doing that, right... 8-)
