CAICA Sets the record straight - Who IS Patti Atwoods?

Someone claiming to be an aunt in distress contacted CAICA for help. CAICA spent three weeks helping this family only to learn it was a ploy to discredit Isabelle Zehnder and CAICA.

Why?

It now appears the motive was to try to discredit Isabelle and CAICA who have devoted the past four years to helping families whose children were abused in programs and to provide a service to the public by creating what others are calling the most comprehensive website on the topic of institutionalized child abuse. http://http://www.caica.org

--- Quote from: ""Guest"" ---Don't think that's cause for a lawsuit. But all the slander and defamation going on here is. Internet defamation is a very hot topic and lawyers are jumping on these cases.

Are you talking about those defamatory blogs of Scheff and Izzy?

No. Defamation is when something is NOT true. What is written in the blogs is true.

oooh, ok,  like false advertisement, um, contributing to the neglect and abuse of minor children, um, defecation, not defamation, true... uh huh

Err - I think the "jury is out" so to speak on whether those "blogs" are defamation free.

As for CAICA - looks like Izzy has changed her front page again - this time emphasizing what a buyer-beware market the teen help industry is and recomending parents reach out to friends and family for advise and help.

"Parenting is a tough job and there is no shame in reaching out to those you love and trust for help.

As a friend once said, "It takes a village to raise a child."

NOTE:  Apparently Izzy isn't aware that the "friend" who made that comment was quoting none other than Hillary Clinton, former first lady now Senator from New York running for the U.S. presidency.

Hello????

No Izzy.  It's doesn't take a village.  It takes parents. That's just a catchy phrase the teen help industry likes to use to facilitate the removal of children from their parents in order to make money off of them.

Duh!
