Damn take a stroll over to facebook. It is programmie heaven...

www.facebook.com

Takes like 3 minutes to register. Do a keyword search on a program and no doubt you will stumble across a group.

 ::unhappy::

Lets show em some love..

Yeah, like Camp Peninsula Village.  27 PV cheerleaders after 20 years of programming.  These girls are nazty bitchez.  They cut me out in a jiffy when I started adding bile to the Kool-aid.  The last message to me before I let loose with the post that broke the beast's back was in Muffy-speak:  "Um...dude, you sound like really bitter and maybe you should rant somewhere else.  kay?"

Kay.  I figured the end was nigh and let 'em have a rant that probably caused them to drop their cigarettes and crack pipes.

I found a few hits for Three Springs also. I really am pondering doing a more thorough search of their database for a variety of programs.

Just not sure what use it would be.

Any ideas?

Here is what I thought up this morning sitting on the toilet.

* do a search for program references on facebook.
* via a custom created profile send them a survey.
* collate said survey data and post it on fornits for further consumption.

I lifted this off the TK forum and a few people have filled it out...

What do you think about sending out this or something like this to the program survivors on Facebook?

Quote
1) Program Name

2) Did you recieve any sort of legal hearing prior to entering the program? Please explain if you answer yes.

3) Length of stay

4) Prior to your incarceration did you recieve any notice that you would be loosing your civil liberties?

5) On arrival to program no doubt you underwent some sort of inprocessing routine. Please describe yours.

6) Did the program have an onsite psychologist? If yes how often did you see the onsite psychologist?

7) Did the program have an onsite RN?

8) Did the program provide for your medical needs both minor and major in a timely and prompt fashion?

9) Did your basic needs for clothing, food, shelter, and bathing needs get the proper attention by the program?

10) Who dispensed the medications at the program? Staff or an RN/CNA?

11) Describe your living accomodations at the program.

12) Describe your day to day setting at the program. What sort of group did you move around with if any group at all?

13) Describe how you advanced through the program to graduate. Did you use a level system based on points? Was the system used objective, meaning based on the observed facts, or subjective based on the feelings of your staff members?

14) What was the role of the entry level staff in the program? (Your day to day staff commonly titled house parent, youth counselor etc.)

15) What training did these entry level staff members get prior to being placed with the resident population?

16) Did you have clear access to a phone to report abuse?

17) Were your phone calls monitored? Describe please.

18) Was your mail examined? Describe please.

19) How were grievances dealt with the program?

20) To the best of your ability describe a day in the life at your program?

I noticed very quickly for some of the programs you see more mingling of the different types of survivors. A few of the groups have people who I'm pretty sure are current staff. It could be interesting to send out a survey just to see the results. [/quote]

There is a survivor dating community as well, but I am not going to link it here, most survivors don't like fornits because so many parents and program spies hang out here.

Hmmm... somehow the idea of a dating community doesn't come as much of a surprise.

send me your name via pm or email and I'll add you to my account then. It isn't that hard and I only use it to keep track of a few old friends.

I will think about it but I am afraid you might not like what I look like or like me, and I don't know if I can take rejection at this point in my life again.

I have myspace I never got Facebook because it was for college people and I am too stupid to go to college, I can't read well. This is being typed by a program and I talk into a microphone.
