Program Creep (into public schools)

A round of applause for Chairman Stalin,
comrades! (don't be the first one to stop
clapping).

But read down to the bottom folks. Buried
in the continuation someone isn't clapping.
Also it sounds like that student gov't got
itself packed by a religious right youth
group.

Student government, ahhh what a wonderful concept. I am trying to remember what they called the jewish elders who collaborated with the Nazi's in the ghettos and formed minuature puppet governments. The problem with a student government is that it has no authority and is only listened to when it agrees with what the administration and school boards want in the first place, when it is used to legitimize the new rules by claiming "student support".
