Treatment Abuse, Behavior Modification, Thought Reform > PURE Bullshit and CAICA
BUYER BEWARE OF ISABELLE ZEHNDER AND SUE SCHEFF
Anonymous:
Here we go again !!!!
In the WWASP vs PURE transcripts, please recall the testimony where Ms. Scheff was confronted about advertising that she had PROFESSIONAL psychologists and attorneys on PURE's staff.
Ms. Scheff admitted under oath, that her company, PURE, merely shared office space in the same BUILDING with psychologists and attorneys, and that NO psychologists or attorneys were on PURE's staff.
Yes, demanding a list of any professionals, and their creditials, from Zehnder and Scheff might be a very wise requirement of anyone using their services.

I think they want people to think they actually have a friend, or friends, who support them.
They desperately want to be loved and accepted.

Scheff and Zehnder seem to "love and accept" each other; does that count?

It appears Isabelle Zehnder has ZERO professional qualifications in the field of adolescent behavioral healthcare and psychology, just as her colleague Sue Scheff has ZERO qualifications.
I presume they at least earned a high school diploma but who knows?
After reading Carey Bock's post,, nothing would surprise me about Sue Scheff nor her associate, Isabelle Zehnder.

According to an online Internet profile, Isabelle Zehnder claims to have attended San Mateo Community College (California) in the late 90's. Her myspace profile lists her age as 49.
However, in California, you only need to be 18 years or older to attend a community college. No high school diploma required.
What's important about this issue is the following statement made by Zehnder, herself:
The teen-help, troubled-teen industry has grown into a multi-billion dollar a year industry and there is no sign of it slowing down anytime soon. Many people wanted a piece of the pie. They opened programs without having the experience, credentials, or knowledge as to how to help children and teens faced with issues such as cutting, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance, anger issues, eating disorders, suicidal tendencies, drug addiction, etc. Often they hire untrained, unqualified, non-certified staff which has resulted in children being abused, neglected, and in too many children dying
Shouldn't parents expect persons who assist in the placement of youth into unregulated private-pay programs to have the proper credentials?
More importantly, shouldn't children be properly diagnosed by a licensed professional to see if they need a program, instead of falling into the hands of someone who simply has an interest in or love for kids?
The people responsible for Aaron Bacon's death claimed they were going to love him to death.
They weren't lying.
BUYER BEWARE is not only good advise, it is a virtual necessity!
To all parents reading Fornits, if you care about your child's safety and well-being, take the time to find out why CAICA and PURE are on ISAC's watchlist.

Read about the PURE recommended Whitmore Academy and the litany of problems associated with this now-defunct program.
Read Zehnder and Scheff's blogs on Whitmore, praising the former owners and attempting to demean and discredit the allegations of abuse made by children and parents.
Ask yourself what might motivate these two so-called child-parent advocates to apparently continue to talk out of both sides of their mouths.
It's mind-boggling.
