Your photos: Virginia Tech urges everyone to wear orange and maroon
Tomorrow has been designated a day of mourning for the victims of the Virginia Tech shootings, and the school's alumni association is encouraging people across the world wear the school's colors -- orange and maroon -- as a sign of solidarity with the victims and their families.

"As our Commonwealth begins the long and difficult healing process, I am filled with images of a Virginia Tech community that is resilient and unified," Gov. Tim Kaine said in a statement.  "I ask that everyone in Virginia pause at noon on Friday to offer prayers of support for the victims, their families, and for all those affected by this tragedy."

The Virginia Tech Alumni Association has a list of memorial services across the USA.

As part of our continuing coverage, USA TODAY invites you to submit photos that show you clad in Hokies garb or Virginia Tech's colors. Images sent to [email protected] will be included in an online photo gallery.

"This Friday is a time to show we are one nation, under God, indivisible … and this week, we are all Hokies," The Daily News-Record says.

Flickr has a collection of photographs about the Virginia Tech shootings and their aftermath.
