I haven't been to a rave in years, but I have friends who still go. When I was going they were all love and fun, probably the safest place to go and dance. But even though they exagerated on that article, some of it is true. In BC exstacy isn't the most popular drug, but among teens it is. It's now the first drug that they try over pot, which says a lot considering that BC is sort of pothead/headquarters.

There are predators at raves, just like anywhere else. Sinse they went mainstreem obviously more and more are going there, also since they went mainstreem lest "oldskoolers" hang out and instead it's the club scene for kids. I know girls who were raped after being slipped GHB at raves.

In some cities they'll serve alcohol at raves, which kind of depletes the purpose! Those "raves" end up with fights just like a regular bar.

Just another newspaper over reacting and jumping to conclusions. I agree that there are more diseases and rapes in school. The reporter or police officer interviewef had an active imagination about those sex orgies - makes you wonder if he'll do "research" now.
