CAICA FUNDRAISER

Just noticed that CAICA has added a new page and this one claims donations are "tax deductible".

Is CAICA a non-profit?  I checked with the IRS to verify their non-profit status but wasn't successful.  Nothing came up for CAICA or Coalition Against Institutionalized Child Abuse.

If it's a non-profit, where is the documentation on the CAICA website to provide donors with the information they need?  I don't see it.

When CAICA first formed in 2005, Isabelle asked for donations in a brochure that I remember reading.  This brochure listed the names of a Board of Directors and it explained to potential donors that CAICA was awaiting official confirmation from the IRS of it's application for non-profit status.

Then it went poof.

Anybody know what is going on with this organization?  It looks to me it is run solely by Isabelle Zehnder, who calls herself founder and PRESIDENT.  President of what?  There is no Board of Directors.

So what's the deal?  What is CAICA?  This disclaimer that says CAICA is not funded directly or indirectly by treatment programs does not answer the fundamental question.

Izzy simply stating that donations are "tax deductible" is not good enough.

The ISAC website offers people who wish to donate this option:
"Verify ISAC's Non-Profit Status With the IRS."

This option leads the reader to the Internal Revenue Service page, where the name of ISAC Corporation can be entered, and the Non-Profit status can be verified.
This IRS verification shows that ISAC's non-profit status is valid through March 2008.

COME ON, Izzy.  You gotta do better than just say, "tax deductible."
You've already said way too many things that have been proven to be "NOT TRUE....."

Izzy's "Spring and Summer Fundraising Event" goes on for pages; and she states, "CAICA has, to date been funded by Isabelle and her husband, David."
Izzy explains she gave up up her "legal career to dovote all her time to CAICA...."  As she pleads for money, she says, "She and her husband can no long do it alone."
Izzy doesn't seem to mind splattering her personal business on the internet; so maybe she can answer this question:  Does her husband, David have a job; or does he simply work at CAICA, too?
