I am curious about the salary issue: there are none noted (all claimed to be under $50k). Yet under major contractors employed by HLA over the course of the year, one of them is noted as being HLA itself! To the tune of about a million bucks! That's like saying HLA Inc. is the school, and we have to file this 990 with Guidestar cuz we are a school. But we have contracted out all the work to HLA (no Inc., and not a school). HLA (no Inc., and not the school) is a for profit agency and not a school, and hence is not required to make its particulars public. Does that make any sense?
RobertBruce:
So youre saying that a single entity is both a for profit and a non profit?
Hmmmmm
Is this legal?
Anonymous:
No... two entities. But both HLA somehow. They've defined one as a school, and the other not as a school. But they are both HLA. Very sleazy, if you ask me.
