I am considering sending my daughter to Elan.  I know it was bad in the past, but I just read the Dept. of Ed. report and it looks promising.  Has anyone been to the school in this century???

Any words of advice?

Lady you are on the wrong site if you want someone to give you positive feedback on Elan. If your daughter is:

a. Hurting herself or others
b.  Not going to school
c.  Basically being a total fuck up

you might as well send her there. I mean, Elan really fucked me up but at the end of the day I would never have graduated high school or gotten into a good college if it hadn't been for them forcing my ass to class every day. When I was there, the school was bullshit but an "A" is still an "A" on your highschool transcript and that's all the colleges see anyway. Now I'm a successfull member of society instead of a pregnant drug addict without a high school dipoloma so while I may be completely fucked in the head, at least I'm not where I would be had it not been for Elan. THERE, that is the BEST answer you will get on this site so I would just take it and run!!!

Listen lady you must be a total idiot if you think that Elan is an option after reading all of the stuff on this site....Your daughter is probably out of control because her mother is totally clueless and ignorant to the world around her..Ya see the trick with raising a child is to actually do it...and you cant start doing it when she is 16 and out of control.  You are supposed to take an interest in their lives from the beginning and keep being interested every day for the rest of your life..you dont get a day off and you certainly dont get to mess your kid up and then ship it off to a concentration camp until he or she is mentally beaten into submission and returns the agreeable zombie you so desire.

YOU ARE THE ONE THAT NEEDS HELP..I SAY YOU CHECK YOURSELF INTO ELAN FOR A MONTH AND THEN DECIDE IF YOU WANT TO SEND YOUR CHILD THERE!
