Ed Cons Who Refer to HLA After Abuse Claims

That doesn't mean you know every single kid she referred. Did she refer your kid to HLA?
RobertBruce:
Thats pretty standard throughout the industry, ed cons never meet or know anything about the kids other than what they were told by the parents. Once the kid is locked into the kiddie prison the ed cons see no further need to talk to the kid, after all theyve already been paid right? So who cares what happens to those little bastards. They deserve whatever they get.

Classic HLA. They love the Drive By attack.

Did Rhea know what 'restrictions' entailed? Limited calories. Punishment that could technically go on indefinitely for minor infractions or false allegations presented in fall out? How about the monitored calls and censored mail? Denying contact with parents/visits as punishment or for academic incompletes? Physical restraints?
Elizabeth Hall didn't.

ED cons? sniggers..
Lord the work we used to have the boys put in cleaning the place up the day before ed cons arrived. You know it got so routine that my boss would send them to my campsite due to its cleanliness that it sort of got depressing when I realized later that had I left the place a total wreck more kids wouldn't have ended up in the program.
Ah well such is life.
Ed Cons have a lot of power over the programs. If an Ed Con sends a lot of kids to the same school they can get preferential treatment for themselves and the kids.
Once I wandered up to my campsite and found my group running around throwing rocks at each other and the counselor who was with them. They stopped the minute they saw me wander up and after I got them all circled up the first words out of my mouth was, "So you all want to act like a group of jackasses."
Now one of the kids says to his mom, "Mistha waygookin said I'm a jackass."
Mom complains to Ed Con and family worker. Ed Con gets on his high horse and goes bonkers. Because said ed con had sent many a students to the PRVB's kiddie slavery center he is taken more seriously than he should have been.
My boss said to me, "Normally I would just tell you to becareful what you say to the kids, but this time Mr. Jerk Off Ed Con is blowing a nut so I have to drag you over the coals."
Basically I had to shut my mouth and sit through a telephone conference with the parents, the ed con, the program administrator, and my family worker. The Ed con listed my many failings a human repeatedly, despite the fact that the kid's father said, "Well hell all the man said is they are acting like Jack Asses? I thought you said he called so in so a jackass?" The father then pretty much said that if he had witnessed the scene I had witnessed he probably would have taken a 2x4 to the kid's butt. (By no means do I endorse this particular method of child dicispline either)
Basically end result is it wasn't the best thing in the world to say to the kids. Yet It wasn't by far the worst and nor should my program administrator have made me sit through a teleconference with some ed con who was a total jack off making it out like I sung the Denis Learly, "I'm an asshole" song in a pink tutu whilst strung out on crack. For the sole purpose of keeping the jerkwad's business.
