--- Quote from: ""Guest"" ---Mike was the head of Cabinet Mountain Mental Health which was the counseling services provided to SCLA. My understanding is that Mike was gifted the land to start his own school.

I just heard that Mike Linderman was fired or quit Whispering Pines. It hasn't even opened it's doors yet   According to the local newspaper it is to open in June. Doesn't sound like Mike Linderman was gifted anything but a sale job :cry2:  So I wonder who is behind Whispering Pines??? There are still rumors around that Glen Schenavar ex  Spring Creek employee / house painter is opening it for Spring Creek or is tied in with a Jim Dorrian from California.

Below is from the website of Claireandmia.com, authors of Come Back, an account of Claire's daughter Mia's stay at WWASP Morava, then transferred to Spring Creek where she was treated by Mike Linderman.  Come Back was not very Pro "the Company" (WWASP) when Morava was closed, but the book is very pro Glenn, head of Morava & staff there. Also very positive in book about Mike Linderman. Claire was founding member of Whispering Pines.  I would guess she started it for Mike to work there (just a guess).

Claire Fontaine is an author and screenwriter who has worked with numerous award-winning producers and directors. She was the recipient of the European Manuscript Development Award (MediaOne Award). After her experience with Mia, she founded the LA Family Support Group to assist families in crisis. She is a founding board member of Whispering Pines Academy, a non-profit, state-of-the-art adolescent diagnostic and treatment facility opening in the summer of 2007. She continues to write and is currently developing memoir writing retreats and, along with Mia, mother/daughter writing workshops. Come Back has been selected as Book of the Month by the Target Book Club.

Yeah, the program Morava she referred to as "oddly" being accused of being abusive.

This lady is a piece of work IMO.  Another parent who thinks they are experts in raising other people's kids.  I saw them on Bill O'Reilly.  Of course, he had not done his homework.  He should have had Maia Szalvitz as a guest instead.

Let's just hope the same thing doesn't happen with another program parent turned book-writer named Sue Scheff.  That would really put me over the top.
