Nother funny thing about regulation; it imparts power disproportionate to the direct experience(TM) of natural consequences to the wielders of it. That, as reliably as the sun rises in the East and as sure as death and taxes draws just the type of inadequate, mean spirited, angry five year old personality who dig whoopin their influence onto helpless others. They say power corrupts. I don't think that's quite it. Power just makes us more visible to others.
So what do ya do? I don't know. That mystical middle child of mine is pretty good at coming up w/ little acts of resistance. She's gonna show up in line for the morning search routine at school w/ like 30 condoms--all colors, sizes and flavors--stuffed into and falling out of every pocket of her purse. At least I raised that one right!
