The Merge
« on: February 11, 2007, 01:21:27 AM »
Can someone please explain (as I still do not understand) this merge-ing of the 3 houses of Elan.  Why did it happen and what was the effect of this merge.  Also after 2000 did Elan change or loosen up on some of their rules and regulations.
Dank You.

I think it was just one house that merged (E-7). I remember someone saying how Elan didn't have as much residents in it and they were loosing residents because parents were pulling their kids out. I'd say that skakel trial and the bad publicity that came out on public TV made parents think twice and yanked their sons/daughters to safety.

Hi Mike,
That merge occured the month before my son arrived.  The enrollment was not big enough to have three houses open.
House 7 closed.  It is now an office and storage for candy, soda, toiletrities ect.
How have you been? Well I hope.
I haven't been here for a while due to all the crap in print.  It is embarassing to be a part of, and of no interest to read.  Too bad that a couple of disturbed people have to spoil things.

Hey Art,
It's nice to hear from you. My family is doing well.  Brian turned 21 last week and he is working at my family business.
Marshall is doing well at ski racing.  I feel like I finally have my family back together.
 How about you???
