FUCK!!!!

IT'S COLD!!!

75% of the citrus crop in CA is shot to shit. Several million dollars down the toilet.

Freezing my fucking ass off! And to top it all off, it's now raining. If it keeps up, I'm willing to bet it will be snowing by tonight. Yes, that's right, snowing in San Francisco.

I left Syracuse to get away from this kind of shit!

Really? First freezing day here in a long while. Here are some shots I took the other day down on the Yough. For the most part, it's been like Winter in Florida w/ hills and fog here this year.

I mistakenly left the sprinklers timer at 2am since the summer... and I went outside yesterday morning and found all the plants I planted last spring were dead. I watered them with water and they froze and died... oops. Always next spring...  :P

Next time you want to gather some mulch (dried leaves, hay or some such, even shredded newspaper will do in a pinch) and cover your favorite plants in it just before the frost. They'll be fine. I had strawberries trying to take over the world year after year in zone 5 by this method. You just have to make sure and remove the mulch before it goes moldy once the weather warms up again.
