My daughter is 14 and is currently struggling with ODD and ADD, and a substance abuse problem. She says that she hates me and I think that she is in need of an intervention. I have been seeing the success stories on shows such as Dr. Phil. I really wish my daughter was like that. I have tried to be a mom and turn her life around, but she thinks that I don't know anything about parenting. She is very depressed all of the time, and she has threatened to kill herself on multiple occasions. I want my daughter just to be normal like all of the other kids. I heard from a friend that HLA is a very good school and has a very high success rate. I would really just like my daughter to succeed in society.

Parent, what did you hear exactly about HLA? What were the positive attributes listed if you don't mind me asking. I personally had a less than positive expereince there.

I heard that HLA was a wonderful school with a great team of staff. I heard that there is compassion directed toward your child rather than hate. I also heard that they have great dorms and facilities. I really want my daughter to go there. I have seen pictures and the school looks like a perfect fit.
