Bradbury has thousands of documents from Straight's from all over the country.

I know I have seen them.

Im sure he does the more the better. I just happen to have what my mom personally had, all the notes she took from being trained to teach raps, memos from mel r. etc He was smart though rarely signed shit and rarely used letterhead. but he did fuck up on ocassion that's the kind of stuff that couple prove useful when the time comes.

thanks just glad i finally had some time to get some of this stuff scanned. also very glad my mom held onto shit for years and took REALLY good notes. I was going through some last night she documented his cop-outs, who we used to retrieve himi when he copped out, one person of course was someone who was paid by straight to retrieve kids straight would refer the parents to him. He was also used to keep tabs on withdrawals and encourage them not to move back home especially if the parents had a kid in the program still. Turns out hes a pedophile go figure, was back then too and at the time was CIA and is currently serving a very short sentence for child porn. Did i mention straight hired him, and im sure they knew all of what i just mentioned.  Even more ironic we knew him before we ever went into straight, he was a friend of the family. bizarre? just found this shit out in the last couple months.

my mom was famous for writing out her "mic talks" before she'd give them.  and i read one last night that was after steve came back from a cop out (sorry got dragged back) and she even says that she couldnt believe steve tried to tell his friends that straight had been trying to brainwash him but it wouldn't "take".  and that given time she was sure he would realize straight was where he needed to be. course he always knew that's why he sat on first phase for his whole straight career and copped out 7 times. my mom claims had he ever  cried abuse she would have listened. I wonder now though, I mean the parents were so conditioned to report anything negative they probalby wouldnt even take the time to hear or think about what the kid was saying...

Funny how when you reevaluate something after a major perspective change lotsa shit just starts to make sense.  My dad was accused of being such an asshole for harboring steve for 6 weeks when he ran away. Now if my dad knew he was being abused and let him getting taken back there he should be beaten to a pulp BUT i don't believe he knew or at least he wasn't paying attention. I think he thought Steve didn't like it there and  figured he'd help out since he'd been such an asshole prior.  none the less, in retrospect my mom had my dad, the police, even a judge (she documented the whole juvinile court experience where the judge refused yet couldn't say why, to court order steve back to straight) refused to put steve back in straight.

All through her notes she's just amazed that everyone is against her and Straight and she feels so betrayed.  Of course now she realizes who was really betraying her. Just a shame people are so blind in the moment that they can't see what is really going on. But we've all been there at one time or another I suppose, although usually somenoe's life isn't at stake.

It's not surprising that Straight exists in a country that so flagrantly exploits its people & denies them human rights.

Bradbury at some point plans to make all his documents available on the internet after they are all scanned into an library type system system which will make it easy for every to access.

I think once he free's up from the litigation with the Semblers.

I have spoken to him,  He expects it (the litigation) to go well past 2012.

i think he is taking legal action against them but he would not say but that's my guess.

Once his project is completed it will all be online and you may be able to add your documents to it.

agreed... children have no rights remember in private institutions at least. which makes sense why the govt is involved becaue they cant get away with this crap in govt state run institutions lol. Those have to have laws to project childrens rights. It's definitely not a coincidence that there are no laws to protect children in privately run institutions that's for sure.

ooo we are playing tag team on the forum i just replied to your other post hurry hurry! lol

Or maybe he can add his to mine lol im alreayd in the process of archiving everything, databasing it  you name it, I do it for a living so figured i'd put my programming skills to good use, but i think having the same data in multiple places online is actually key and makes it that much more accessible. Actually how does he plan on doing it? if you takl to him and you know he might want assistance on such a project tell him to holler. I met him down in st. Pete a few years back  at a conference.

The program is on the outside too...$tr8 is a manifestation of the real values of our society.

We have seen the beast in its true form.

The following is a reprint from a much earlier post concerning the scope of parent involvment in the evolution of straight.  After that, I will comment on some more current shit directly relating to this thread, so try to keep up and away we go........

In the Pinellas County area in the late seventies, many 'inmates' came from families where the parent was directly or indirectly employed by the Defense/Aerospace industry. I would give my left arm to know the name of the person responsible for informing these workers of the "danger signs" and luring them to check out the program.
Now I am not discounting that there was a drug problem back then, but they were just attacking the symptom and not the cause. The average Joe in Pinellas County had not had a meaningful raise in over ten years, while rampant inflation was eating into whatever was left. The only workers that had it made in the shade were the aforementioned ones. They were priveleged, their jobs were secure, they saw little of their families, and god forbid, they did not talk too freely about what they do at work. This loyalty to the big daddy government guaranteed an aura of anonymity that may have made the Straight Inc. Program look like it was tailor made just for them. This is my theory. Anyone from that era want to go in on this with me then maybe I'll be a little more inclined to help out with your projects. One thing comes to mind. Prior to my coming into Straight, there was alot of construction going on at General Electric in Largo and we all know the name Mel Sembler as having a hand in redevelopment. Just something to think about is all. After some thought I have decided to name a few names of clients who's parents worked Defense/Aerospace and the place that their parents worked.

Tom and Steve Andrews............Honeywell
Mike, Bob, and Scott Patterson...General Electric
Chuck Haig..............General Electric
Lance and Lewis Cantrell........Paradyne
Ted Eckhardt..................E-Systems
Mark Errett..................Rand Corporation
Mike Kubica..................E-Systems
Mike Sailor...............Rockwell

There are more, these are just the ones I am sure of from them either being friends or oldcomers.

Actually, after some thought I decided to edit this post. I now remember that one girl's dad was a U.S. Postal Worker and another girl had a father than ran a UPS route that serviced quite a few defense plants in the Tampa Bay area. I guess the parents of kids already in the program spread the news to other parents like a bad cold or something, but I am sure it was all a part of Sembler's game plan.......Oh wait, there is a guy from UPS knocking on my door. Be right back.  (kidding)

I fucking almost swallowed my tongue when I saw the crappy typewritten document.  I recognized the print at once.  I used the very same typewriter on my final composition for Sociology Class at Dixie Hollins High back in 1980.  Back then it was still owned by Tom Schifferel's mom.  She let me borrow her IBM Selectric that had a glitch in which the letter "l" when followed by an "i" would have about half a space between them.  It was annoying as hell, and I pointed it out to her when she came to get it back.  She only lived on the other side of the Cemetary separating our neighborhoods.
I even tried to buy it off of her, but she told me she was donating it to the Straight offices at the Morgan Yacht Building.  Them cheap bastards had it ever since!  Simply amazing, and just goes to show what a small world it really is.

I was talking to my dad shortly before Christmas, and come to find out that he actually was a big part of the Straight Machine in that he presented a 'horror' movie at General Electric about the dangers of drug and alchol abuse, and teen deaths due to auto accidents.  They probably got about 10 or 15 intakes just off of that.  My dad is not a tall man, he's about 5-6 with shoes on, but the peer pressure and the spotlight really put the zap on his head.  At least he feels a little bad about it now.

The America I was raised to believe in basically doesn't exist.  That is one of the main lessons I took from $tr8.  The war in Iraq and Afghanistan is basically a gang of 5th phasers tryin to hold down some misbehavers.
