When I was in there at age 15, there was about 60 other kids in there with me, a number at the time the counselors said was small.  That was how many kids the counselors also read my diaries out loud to as the put me on a stool in front of all of them with a spotlight on me while calling me a lying piece of shit.  This was all, of course, to get me to stay sober....ironic??

Now it is Pathway Family Center, but I've heard first hand that they only tweaked a couple details from KHK.  I've also heard that the fee is based on the income of the parents now, not just a flat rate.  I guaruntee there are less than 30 kids in there now.  At some points between '03-'04 we got down into the teens.  There were always twice the amount of males as females.

Actually, there are 18 kids in treatment as of today. 8 girls and 10 boys. KHK is a program that does work. If you're bashing it, you're probably still abusing alcohol or another drug.

I dont abuse alcohol and dont touch drugs. I have no use for them personally. I am also a law school graduate who definitely has a good life. And I REGULARLY bash KHK and other Straight spin off programs because they DESTROY children. Former KHK clients having PTSD because of KHK is a clear indication of a serious problem in KHK.

Humiliating a teenager by revealing personal details to a large group of other teenagers is NOT therapy! This is abuse! No human being deserves to be mistreated this way!

I could have been brainwashed to think this, but I remember a time in 1987 where there were around 60 phasers total and the warehouse room with the big fan was full. Then it slowly declined approaching 88. (Hebron KY)

By the way, to the brainwashed anon who thinks KHK is good for anyone: We were all brainwashed and we all believed that at one point. When you come around, I feel sorry for the issues you will have to deal with as a result of this abusive organization. When you realize this, I will listen and we can talk about it. Just don't say, "Love ya Tony" I hate that!
I disagree with you but at one time, I was you.
