You mean how rich USAmericans don't mind as consumers paying money to stick it up the ass of the lowest class that makes all the shit they buy and picks and processes the food they eat?

When assholes like you get on your high horse and act like you have the only moral perspective, it doesn't help your cause any.  In fact, it hurts it when you pontificate about the "evils of the American consumer" as if somehow people wanted to screw over the underclasses.  Most people are doing the best they can to survive, to put food on the table for their kids and themselves, and when some overprivelidged, halfwit makes a blanket statement naming them as responsible for the oppression of the working class (whom you have also succeeded in offending with your smug condescension), it tends to turen them off of any valid point you may have had a chance of making..  Arrpgant know-it-alls like yourself are as bad as the religious right or Muslim fundies- like these types (with whom you have more in common thn thay or you would cre to admit) you want to tell everybody how to live and what to do.  I, for one, have been doing OK without your guidance, and I suppose there are many others who can say the same.

I don't know what you are talking about. Try educating yourself. It's the truth. What I am mostly referring to is the chemical and agricultural business. It poisons people, and a lot of the people it poisons are children. That's just a fact, although for whatever reason you think it means nothing. Now I will tell you that I have, in fact, worked in an auto parts manufacturing factory, and I will tell you that there was a different benefits structure for the white collar vs. the blue collar employees. The white collar people put together schedules and projects, and when it was time to repaint the inside of the factory, they just painted right over the heads of everybody working, nice fresh toxic concrete wall paint. The blue collar workers get shafted at retirement time. They have metal shavings, oil spray and etc all over them every day. Piss off about overprivileged, Anne Bonney has a fucking yacht. She can pay more and make some effort to buy organic and/or local food because it really does fucking matter and if you don't know that and I do, it also doesn't have anything to do with overprivileged. Your I.Q. could make you over a hundred grand a year, at least, if you ever bothered to use it, and you have enough money to shoot up, freebase, etc, that is, if you are who I think you are. What really happened on this thread is that I said some things at the start of the thread that for no fault of my own hit a personal nerve on Anne Bonney. Have your stupid spaghettios, bitch. Don't come up to me when I'm swinging a bat and complain about how I knocked your canned food around. You leave me the fuck alone. There's your clarity for you.

So, because I don't live my life according to how you[/b] think I should, I'm just overpriveleged and an asshole?  It's not a "yacht" btw.....it's a 30 year old boat that we've put quite a bit of work into.  That's what we enjoy.  You enjoy growing your own veggies, making your own clothes etc. etc.   I don't.  As I said, the things I find disturbing about the world, I try and do something about in my own way.  I don't go around publishing what I do so you have no fucking clue what I do or don't.  Yeah, I guess you could say that it hit a nerve with me because I'm tired of feeling like you judge me and anyone else for either having a little bit of money (and I mean little, I'm not wealthy by any standards)  or for not living our lives the way you want us to.  You said "I don't know why you'd want to live in Naziland, but to each his own".  A bit condescending I think.

Anne Bonney led the life of a merry woman.  In the end no one knows what became of her... :wink:

I reckon she was a rad lady.  I wonder what she'd think of America today.  People even buy 23.00 t-shirts to look cool in, which are nothing more than advertisements for corporations who are guilty of the exploitation of so much of the social caste systems of the world and much, if not all of the environmental degradation of the planet.  I mean if your gonna decorate your clothes, put somethin really cool and unique on them.   Paint your shirt yourself or sew somethin on it, like a spiritual anarchy patch. Don't let yourself become a human advertisement for slavery and oppression.  The best thing people could do would be to never buy nothin.  That would decentralize the economy and give power back to the locals.  Of course, I am a hipicrite.  But, such is life...it doesn't keep me from gnosis...from knowing.  I grow what I can and I share-crop with my neighbor.  I support local businesses first and buy organic when I can, but if I can't get what I want locally then I expand the search.  Even though I don't make much money, I am willing to pay more for local products if I have to.  Otherwise I am selling myself and my people out.

America the grotesque alright.  Everything is for sale.  Your very self is to be sold out from you.  They say America is rich, but what is poverty, really ??  It is to be completely cut off from the land and the sea...to be at the mercy of those who would own you.  America is like Rome once was after Caeser.  America plunders the world and keeps dominion over it(George W. blatantly reveals this and makes it fairly plain to see).  The Police state has taken root and is growing over us right now.  Get up. Stand up, Stand up for your rights...

Each to their own, says I, but don't fuck with me.

This is news to you?  The rich have been screwing the poor for a long, long time.  I suppose by bitching at Anne Bonney and passing judgement on people you know nothing about will change all of that, though.

Anne Bonney overprivileged?  Don't make me laugh.   I know her and you, and I can definitely, without a doubt say that you are the more overprivileged of the two.  Her "yacht"  is a 30 year old boat that she has spent many many hours sweating and covered in engine oil and fuel, working on the boat.  She and her husband have been working on it themselves whenever possible.  She has been through a lot more shit than you have, and her troubles were REAL, not imaginary.    She has had to put up with a lot more shit than you have, and has handled herself a lot more intelligently and maturely than you have.  She does not receive money from her mother or the government.  I have nothing but respect for her and how she has handled many of the repercussions from Straight that have made their way into her life.    She has done so with a hell of a lot more class than you have ever shown, and she hasn't pissed off everyone she knows in the process.

And your cunt could make you over a hundred grand a year...no, wait a minute, no it couldn't......

What I do with my money ( I usually turn it into sin, it's money well spent, how I get it, etc. are NONE OF YOUR GODDAMN BUSINESS.  Again, your self-righteous pontification shines through, illuminating us all with the knowledge of what an overprivilged (there, I said it), obnoxious, spoiled brat asshole you are.  Fuck off and die, the world will be a better place without you.

There is no more forlorn sight in the world than one 75-foot tall lit-up billboard after another hawking lonely rooms and white bread food at the end of a long day of glare flashing off semis, afternoon tree shadows twitching the iris too fast, headlights to the left, red lights ahead, another off-ramp hawked with the same shit after the same shit. All the same shit. Noisy "grit" towns, and somehow, some long dead mountain man or farmer or native man's great great great great grandson is proud to have or hawk sign space to SCREAM in everyone's eyes about what they should really really buy, he's proud of the trucks and the interstates crisscrossing the land so a person can't walk out in peace anymore.

I dont like the highway much either. I also have an aversion to motels ( reminds me of bad times) prisons (yeah just drove across Texas) 9 foot tall state troopers ( see aforementioned)
 So yeah I agree with your sentiment.
  May I suggest some opiates ( RX'd and legal of course) and coffee for you, friend? Ok well have a  vid then : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_OOOgz5 ... ed&search=

I never put you in my paranoid fantasies, you did. I don't know anything more about you than what I read here, and you have in fact bragged about your husband's large income and your yacht. You're the one who came on the thread and responded to my posts as though they were personal insults. The sound of your whine travels many miles. {END YOUR RETARDED POST}

The end of the story is the illness of the consumer. The beginning of the story is someone's stolen land that corporate poison farmers took over. The middle of the story is a severely diminishing water table, toxic runoff, and laborer families exposed to concentrated toxins. I'm not sure what you mean by "traditional" farming techniques. It's corporate farming that throws away future yields. Read up on the issue, and then get back to us with a little less ignorance. Thanks.

When I refer to myself as a hypocrite I am just admitting that I don't always practice my own philosophy.  Sometimes I give up my hard line for the sake of getting along.  Sometimes I compromise...there are few, if any absolutes in this life, most everything is somewhere in between the dark and the light.  It's a tough world and I don't always do what's right.  So be it.  In the end I am my own judge.
