Valley Phone Sex Operator Witnesses Crime on Internet

12/04/06 - A South Valley woman calls police when, she says, she witnessed a Canadian man sexually abusing children live on the internet. **Warning**, this story may be disturbing to some.
The phone sex operator works in the South Valley city of Woodlake, police say her customer called her from Toronto, Canada. The phone sex operator gave Action News a graphic account of what she saw on the web cam that day, most of which Action News could not broadcast.

She did say she saw a customer have sex with a seven-year-old girl while four other young girls watched. "It went pretty far. He was doing really bad things with them," the operator said.

The phone sex operator from Woodlake did not want to be identified. She says a Toronto man called her last week. He said he had a webcam and wanted to bring in his two daughters to "put on a show." So, the sex operator set up her webcam.

Police say 26-year-old Matthew Hughes had five little girls with him, a stash of sex toys, and a repulsive plan.

"They were all crying, they were nervous," the operator said.

The woman says she was shocked and nervous too. She's not completely familiar with computers so she called Woodlake Police.

"They told me to play along with him. I did what I had to do, I humiliated myself to him to keep him going," the operator said.

Woodlake police contacted Homeland Security. Within days investigators traced his web address to his home address in Toronto. Toronto police arrested him but they still don't know who the girls are.

"He described he would bring in his two daughters, but he has no children. So where these girls came from we're not aware yet," said Woodlake Police Chief John Zapalac.

The sex operator isn't being charged with a crime, but Hughes is. Toronto police charged the correctional officer with sexual interference with a person under 14, making child pornography and possessing it. They also took his computer for clues to other possible victims.

"I always believe there is more than one victims. So, we can't have tunnel vision and just focus on one child," said Chief Zapalac.

Toronto police say the girls are not Hughes' daughters and that he doesn't even have children. They also tell Action News he is a volunteer soccer coach for boys and girls.

Sounds like a recipe for success.

If he would have only sold it to their parents as therapy and kept it off the Internet, he'd still be a free man.

Remember the McDonalds strip search of a 16 year old (who's now suing MikeyDs for 22 Million)?
http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbc ... /510090392

Man calls, claims to be a policeman and orders the manager to strip search a 16 yr old employee. She leaves her fiance in the office with the girl, "officer" orders him to spank her (on the naked ass, which goes on for 3 minutes), stand in a chair, do jumping jacks, and get this.... orders the fiance to make her perform oral sex him, among other things. They confiscated her clothes, she was naked in the Mgrs office for over 3 hours. What a bunch of fucking idiots. And people wonder why this industry flourishes. That it never ocurred to any of the adults to call the police station for a confirmation, or to realize at some point that it was a hoax, is unfathomable. That people raise their kids to defer to authority at all costs is frightening. Peak intelligence.

20/20 did a piece on this the other night. They traced the prepaid phone card to a man who worked at a prison in Kentucky. He got off because the jury couldn't determine beyond a shadow of doubt that the man in the Walmart surviellance video was actually the suspect. Jurors filed out and refused to talk to the press. Ironically, there've been no more calls to fast food restaurants since the trial.

When I 1st heard the story i felt the same way, that no one caled the police, although one guy did try to intervene and I beleive a prison sentence was given to the manager and her sicko boyfriend

As for the webcam guy, wtf were the police doing telling the sex operator to keep him going? jesus!

This is standard procedure! You do not tip off the perp that the police might be on their way. You keep him going as if everything is normal. You do not react adversely in any way. That way, when the cops suddenly show up at his door, he's taken completely by surprise.

Not if it means him continuing to abuse little kids, there has to be a line drawn there - they didn't catch him in the act anyway

the closest to this i've been was when i was on yahoo chat and this lady offered me a pic of her daughter and a chance to tap her ass.

i declined.

i was sorely tempted to call up Atlanta police to pick this lady up.
