New round of layoffs
FLCLcowdude:
No, it was a full puzzle. Harper then just like bitched out Molli to the whole academic department. Molli claimed I was trying to get her fired. Sometimes it is just better to open your mouth and put your foot in. I really should have done that is this situation...

yeah, i was only joking with you, like always. how did she figure you were trying to get her fired? they wouldn't even fire PERVel for fuckin' the females. but that sucked cause then she made me and the seniors from jeremy's drama class fill in the states and capitols and shit like that...and graded us for it  she had a bad habbit of being a control freak. this one ignorant comment she made about mexicans really pissed me off one day
FLCLcowdude:
Yeah, remember when we used to fuck with Caroline in Geography?

Well, this isn't a 'layoff' per se, but it's interesting...
HLA's headmaster, Charles Cates, has reportedly had his hours cut back to two days per week, as a cost-saving measure.
What kind of school has a headmaster (roughly analagous to the principal of a public school) that only works two days per week? How is he handling day-to-day operations in a complex facility like HLA when he's only working two days? Doesn't make much sense to me.
Additionally, I hear that almost every single HLA employee is job hunting and there are rumors among the staff that HLA will close before the summer.
Apparently, the last hope hangs on the judge's not certifying the class for the lawsuit (effectively making it several individual suits).
However, the recent ruling by ORS would seem to preempt this hope, as it basically states that HLA is and was an RTC from the beginning, but that HLA systematically misrepresented itself and its services to ORS in order to avoid regulations.
This fact seems to corroborate the notion that HLA has willfully and intentionally misrepresented itself to consumers en masse, therefore meeting the requirements for the certification of the class.
This, I believe, is the final coffin nail. HLA will not be around long enough even to apply for licensure.
