ESCONDIDO, Calif. -- The wife of a pastor is in custody, accused of trying to drown two of their children in a bathtub, 10News reported.
Kristen Lawson, the wife of the Reverend Robert Lawson of Saint Paul Lutheran Church, called 911 Thursday morning to report that her baby wasn't breathing.
When Escondido police officers arrived at their home on Derringer Place, they found 2 of their 3 children in the bathtub -- ages 6 and 5 months.
Both children were breathing but were taken to the hospital.
They have been placed with Child Protective Services.
Lawson faces 2 counts of attempted murder and assault on a child.
She is expected to be arraigned Tuesday.
