This is incorrect.  It was viewed as a behavior problem that could be changed.  That's a fact.  Put it in the book.

Remember, the headmaster at the time had no training or education at all in psychology or any related field and the counseling director was a phony "doctor" with a degree from a diploma mill.  When you view it through that lens, it isn't hard to believe that they thought homosexuality could be treated as a behavior problem.

As crazy as it sounds, those nut jobs were crazy enough to believe it and say it.
