Abandoing your kid under the guise of "tough love" is abuse in itself.  These parents obeyed a stupid "contract" not their duty and obligation as a parent.

This is child abandonment.[/quote]

If in 2001 before the abuses became commonly known, you sent your kid imagining that they would be able to work their way up the levels within a period of a month or 2 & you were advised this by the WWASP sales people, then it is unfair to say you deliberately abandoned your child. I knew I was going to open a can of troll worms by saying this but it is unfair to judge without knowing all the circumstances.

Wonder how the parents of this young feel about IZZY posting this complaint without blacking out the name of this young man who was a minor when these gross injustices were done to him while he was at  the WWASP facilities?

Wonder if IZZY even bothered to ask?

Yup, I read it. The thing is, they give out way too much personal information. They give out all their addresses including a therapists address, who doesn't need to have his privacy invaded. We all can find that info anyway, but why make it so easy?

What YOU TOO can receive from a stay at a WWASP facility:

1. Unsanitary living conditions
2. Lack of food
3. Denial of medical care
4. Exposure to cold temperatures for long periods of time
5. Forced physical excercise beyond capacity
6. Long periods of isolation in basements, in stress positions
7. Kicked, beaten, slammed to the ground, restrained, humiliated
8. Chained and locked in dog cages, tied by wrists and ankles
9. Forced to clean and scrub toilets and floors with toothbrush, then forced to use toothbrush afterwards
10. Forced to carry heavy bags of sand around his neck
11. Forced to wash dishes with his hand and sand
12. Forced to eat his own vomit
13. Sexual abuse, masturbation and fondling performed on him
14. Emotional abuse due to complete isolation
15. Isolation and lack of education left him unprepared for entering outside world upon departure
16. Forced to work for no compensation
17. Witnesss of repeated kicking, beating, humiliating and restraining of other kids

Hey parents, call the escorts and send your kid today! Okay? This doesn't sound that bad does it?

Whatever happened to the civil case that was filed in Los Angeles, Ca.? It was filed on 5/27/05 and the plantiffs were represented by Ed Masry & Henry Bushkin. I know Ed Masry passed away, but there were a lot of parents and former students who were named plantiffs in this case?

Does anybody know? Did it fall through the cracks?

Izzy is not a lawyer.  Her highest level of education is a GED.  She was a secretary for a law firm and they fired her.  She filed bankruptcy.

Yanno, this plus what my DADS lawyer tried in court yesterday, i.e. "Um, I think you did it wrong your honor" really makes me think that I should be a lawyer...

Because its obviously not that hard to take insane sums of money and jackass it up in a court room, now is it?
