Is this the same guy in charge of the Infirmary/Dispensary? Isn't there access to controlled substances in there? Duh.

Shame on all of you.  Have you never heard of recovery?  This gentleman has been in recovery and sober for many years.  Who better to explain and understand the effects and outcomes of using drugs and alcohol than someone who has been there, suffered the negative consequences and rebuilt his life.

I don't believe this is true.  Mr. Erickson was given ample opportunity to provide evidence that he was indeed sober, but failed to submit any evidence to the committee  when they upheld his suspension due to his own lack of credible (or ANY) evidence to support the notion that he actually is or was sober.

No...When it came time to show evidence of sobriety and competency Mr. Erickson chose the path of the addict and walked away from his career, left the state and gave no forwarding address to the review board.

Part of recovery is confronting one's past and setting one's life right.  Mr. Erickson did the opposite.  He shrunk away from accountability, tucked his tail between his legs and left town toting an enormous monkey on his back.

I'm sorry, anonymous, but with a person having a track record like Mr. Erickson's, nobody can confidently accept the notion that "all is well" with this situation.  Furthermore, with HLA's track record of hiring people with phony degrees and criminal histories, it would be wrong - dead wrong - of any parent to assume that Mr. Erickson is on the "straight-and-narrow."  Your admonition is unwarranted and conflates the issue.

Fuck you.

HLA parades him around as their Addictions Counselor - being an addict doesn't make him qualified to be an "Addictions Counselor".  Try telling parents who pay almost $6K per month that this man is "qualified" to help their children with their addiction problems - which by the way are not just limited to drugs and alcohol. These kids need PROFESSIONAL help. Time for HLA to be truthful about their so-called "highly qualified" staff and people like you to get your head out of your ass.

Did you look at your own dates?  13 years ago

Do you know this man?  Have you met him, talked to him?  Recognized that he went back to school and retrained in counseling after leaving the medical profession?

Your interest is just in belittling a person to make a point about an institution you don't like.
