Ok I just oulled this off their website. That seems to be a pretty high percentage of their poulation that are involved in drugs and alcohol at this point in their young lives. I just don't understand with those kind of numbers that they only offer one psychoeducational class per week. I can't imagine those kids getting a whole lot of information from that.
Sounds to me that they need more than that. :o

Well, the method they use to determine a child's level of "addiction" isn't through talking directly with the child, but by getting groups of new students into a room together and handing out a test for them to fill out. The results were preposterous. There are level I (dont have to do any addictions work), Level II (have to go to EASA, but when thats completed, you're done), and Level III (have to complete EASA and then also go to AA meetings the rest of your stay.) I tested to level III and the only thing I had EVER done was smoke pot twice. I'd never even tried alcohol yet!! I didnt even know what being drunk FELT like, and yet I had to go to AA meetings my whole 23 month stay. It was a crock. Jen Rager and Clay Erickson were both addicts themselves (Clay actually participating in the AA meetings, apparently the ones we went to were his home group, and Jen was 5'0'' and upwards of 250 pounds. Very obviously lugging around a huge eating addiction. Yet these were the people we were to look up to to treat the addictions half of us didn't have.) The addictions program there was ridiculous. The only good thing about it was we got to get a decent cup of coffee and some oreos while we were off campus at those meetings.

I wrote the VA Investigator and he called me today and asked for me and my son to come to VA to testify to the U. S. Attorney, who is conducting a criminal investigation of Bob Gluhareff and Wellspring. Issues include tax fraud, interstate mail fraud, practicing in the state of VA without a valid license, abuse of minors, on and on, etc. If you have not contacted Mr. Bond I suggest you do - there is an active investigation going on right now and your voice needs to be heard so this type of abuse and fraud CANNOT happen again to anyone else's child.

i think we're going to see a very, very similar unraveling at HLA. the fraud, the false advertising, the unlicensed staff, the "defrocked" doctor, etc. it's gonna come back to bite some people.

--- Quote from: ""Guest"" ---Word has it that HLA decided to place the blame on Dr. Reddick when childrens meds are skippped.. Dr. Reddick apparently is
sorry she ever set eyes on HLA...She should have taken the time to introduce herself to Dr. Horwitz, before they ran him out of Dodge...We are told he has ethics and she could have been forewarned...

Once Dr. Horwitz got there, he made the only difference to me out of the whole time I was there. But then again, Nobody watched the kids when they first started their meds, so if they were really tired or edgy from the meds., they'de just get in trouble.
