Question for everyone
The old discussion board (the coolboard) was a huge success.  But as with many of the .com's coolboard service collapsed.  Then we moved to this ez board.  It has been ok, but I have had many complaints about it not being as user friendly.  And quite frankly I'm worried about it being discontinued too.  My first site at homestead, the mailing list (at Listbot) and the discussion board (at Coolboard) have all been discontinued.   So I finally bought some web space at www.straightincsurvivors.com ---  and finally my question...

Do you want me to create a forum on that site (straightincsurvivors), that WE own, so we don't have to worry about changing any more because of service discontinuation?

Re: Question for everyone
that sounds like a very good idea! not that i know

anything about how difficult or easy that may be,

but i think that makes sense.

i think that the more things that will pop up when

you type in "straight" or "straight inc" into your

garden variety search engine, the better! could probably

get a little more traffic.

I conquore
... or is it conquor? Anyway, sounds like a plan to me. Don't know if I'll be able to mirror this site, though. It was a lot of work last time. Anyone feel like just going through and saving copies of each page?

Re: The Board
I have no idea how to program a bulletin board, I am sure it is not easy. My suggestion is that there is probably inexpensive software available that can create on for you as long as your webhosting service supports it.

I don't mind this board and I think we will get fair warning before the company were to go under. My only problem with this board is that the ads keep getting more and more invasive and annoying, especially those credit card and casino ads, that block content or play stupid audio advertisements.

Slavish discipline makes a slavish temper... If severity carry'd to the
highest pitch does prevail, and works a cure upon the present unruly
distemper, it often brings in the room of it a worse and more dangerous
disease, by breaking the mind; and then, in the place of a disorderly young
fellow, you have a low spirited moap'd creature, who, however with his
unnatural sobriety he may please silly people, who commend tame unactive
children, because they make no noise, nor give them any trouble; yet at
last, will probably prove as uncomfortable a thing to his friends, as he
will be all his life an useless thing to himself and others... Beating them,
and all other sorts of slavish and corporal punishments, are not the
discipline fit to be used in the education of those we would have wise,
good, and ingenuous men...

discussion board
Good, as long as no-one has any objections, I will work on creating my own board.  I have attempted it, but ran into some snags, so it might take a while longer than I originally expected.  I'll let you know when I get it up in running.   Thanks

Sit up straight. were you looking at a girl? Anyone have anything to say about this. Yea, you druggies fuckup, when I was a druggie I use to look down on your type, you are a fuckup. Group motivates. After wiping the spit off of my face I will be put in an intake room with no priveledges. Sat on and humiliated. After all I am a druggie.

Re: Question for everyone
so anyway , this is not the hardesr thing to do as long as the web hosting service allows you to run CGI scripts. I can probably whip up something in perl if I have the time to do it within the next week. Let me know, most of you know my email address.

Replying to Jeff's comment:

I never admitted in group or to anyone about looking at a guy, unless it was a cover up for something I really did "bad".. like I heard a few seconds worth of music once in the summertime in the morning a nieghbor was playing at one of the host homes I went to.

I found a way to not admit everything, and when I looked at a guy, I made sure one of the phasers in the guys group were speaking when I looked at them, since I have brown eyes, it was hard for the staff to notice.. tee hee
