Spring Creek Lodge Academy Withdraws From World Wide Association of Specialty Programs & Schools
Spring Creek Lodge Academy, a specialty boarding school in Thompson Falls, Mont., (SCLA) today announced its withdrawal from the World Wide Association of Specialty Programs and Schools (WWASPS).
Thompson Falls, MT (PRWEB via PR Web Direct) June 23, 2006 -- Spring Creek Lodge Academy, a specialty boarding school in Thompson Falls, Mont., (SCLA) today announced its withdrawal from the World Wide Association of Specialty Programs and Schools (WWASPS).
Chaffin Pullan, Assistant Director of SCLA, referred to the school?s association with WWASPS as ?a positive relationship that initially provided us with a very supportive network.? However, Pullan explained that SCLA has evolved into a unique and independent program. He does not foresee any significant changes in the school?s day-to-day operations as a result of the split.
?Since our vision has gradually changed and SCLA already looks so different from other WWASPS schools, the next logical step is to acknowledge those differences and move on,? said Pullan.
Pullan noted that WWASPS had received significant media scrutiny over the years, which has not helped SCLA?s reputation. However, he affirmed that this was not the primary reason for leaving the organization. ?It?s a question of what we are now able to provide our students and families on our own as opposed to what we?ve done in the past with WWASPS?s help,? says Pullan.
WWASPS is an affiliation of (now)four specialty boarding schools located in the United States and Jamaica. It is headquartered in St. George, Utah.

This is a purely tactical move. The association is still there. RBLLFP still owns the land it stands on, they're still going to use David Gilcrease' coercion model. Over the course of the next twelve months WWASPS will break up. This is only to make themselves a harder target for criticism.

Thanks Anon!
So does this mean the sleezy Ed Cons and Referral Outfits will now be referring to these NON WWASPS schools and programs?
I mean, they gotta get their fees somewhere, and these programs do have a history of paying "tuition" credits and cash to parents right?

Yeah I agree, saw this one coming for a while. If the scrutiny gets any worse, expect them to change the name of the camp. If it gets even worse, they will just move it to another location.
